Being the Sci-Fi, interplanetary franchise that spans real-world decades and fictional millennia that //Star Trek// is, we have a lot of space to go around. Like the TV shows, films, novels and other bits of canon and beta canon that we all know and love, here on the League of Whimsy we share our universes both with actual canon and each other. Being the Sci-Fi, interplanetary franchise that spans real-world decades and fictional millennia that //Star Trek// is, we have a lot of space to go around. -Sharing universes means that the ships, stations, characters, species, events and everything else that are created in the process of play exist not just for their creators but also for the rest of the sever also playing in that same universe. This is good to keep in mind because there won't be two identically named ships running around at the same time unless some time shenanigans are happening or people are stealing from the fleet museum... again.+Sharing universes means that the ships, stations, characters, species, events and everything else that are created in the process of play exist not just for their creators but also for the rest of the sever also playing in that same universe.  Sharing is great as it gives our stories a richer texture because they are part of a broader tapestry. While you can't be expected to read everyone's logs, we will have a place for people to submit a brief summary of their missions so that we can maintain a broad idea of the goings on in the fleet. Sharing is great as it gives our stories a richer texture because they are part of a broader tapestry.
