 +A cosmozoan life form. Longer than it is wide, wider than it is tall. An armor plated whale shark with the "horns" of a manta ray. Only known member of its species as of the time of this report.

 +First spotted by the Vulcan Science Ship, [[:technology:starships:vss-shvaal|VSS Sh'vaal]], near the [[:locations:asteroid_belts:zuidi|Zuidi Asteroid Belt]]. The [[:technology:starships:uss-hawkins|USS Hawkins]] was sent to investigate. An away team lead by [[:people:anbarafurel|Captain Anbara Furel]] discovered the ship was actually a cosmozoan life form. It was nicknamed "Monstro" by the crew of the USS Hawkins after it attempted to evade the ship with the away team still on board. The USS Hawkins determined that it feeds off of minerals used in starship hull construction, but not those used in ablative armor. It was lured back to its supposed feeding grounds in the Zuidi Asteroid Belt.
